The Kiesel SP-MO6 series eccentric screw pump (also known as a progressive cavity or "worm" pump) is a self-priming, positive displacement pump purpose-built for the demanding, delicate, and often highly variable products that come through a commercial winery during vintage.

Unlike centrifugal or impeller-style pumps, the eccentric screw design creates a series of sealed, constant-volume cavities between rotor and stator that "push" product smoothly and continuously from suction to discharge — giving an almost pulsation-free flow with genuinely gentle handling of whole grapes, destemmed and undestemmed mash, skins, seeds, yeast lees, grape marc, juice, wine and concentrates.

Because the rotor has an extremely high eccentricity, product is conveyed with minimal shear or crushing, a real advantage where fruit and juice integrity matters. The hollow rotor design keeps vibration and weight down, while the all-stainless, FDA-compliant construction and CIP/SIP-compatible design make cleandown between batches and vintages fast and thorough.

Every pump in this range is fitted with a variable speed drive, so your crew can dial flow rate up or down to match the job; from gentle, slow-speed handling of whole berries and stemmed grapes right through to faster bulk must and wine transfer, all from the one machine.
