A high-purity crystalline compound used in winemaking for tartrate stability testing and cold stabilisation procedures.
Naturally present in grape juice and wine, potassium bitartrate can precipitate as crystals (commonly known as wine diamonds) after bottling if not properly stabilised. This product is used as a seeding agent to accelerate crystal formation during testing and stabilisation, allowing winemakers to assess and control tartrate instability before bottling.
Suitable for laboratory use and controlled cellar trials.
Technical Information
